This is the definitive wilderness course in medical training, leadership, and critical thinking for outdoor, low-resource, and remote professionals and leaders.

The Wilderness First Responder (WFT) curriculum is comprehensive and practical, created to provide outdoor leaders and backcountry travelers with the core knowledge and skills necessary to deal with medical and traumatic emergencies in remote settings.

WFR certification is the expected standard for trip leaders and guides by the outdoor industry and is valid for three years. The course at Camp Pepin is offered through Wilderness Medical Associates, who work with regional licensed trainers to provide worldwide instruction.
