The film festival celebrates women filmmakers and artists by providing a venue, networking forum, educational opportunities and a chance to see and hear stories from women around the world. ”A Place Among the Dead” First-time film making team Juliet Landau (Daughter of Martin Landau and Barbara Bain) and husband Deverill Weekes team up as a writer producer team and bring some big names to a very personal film. Stars Juliet Landau, Gary Oldman, Ron Perlman, Robert Patrick, Lance Henriksen, Joss Whedon and Anne Rice (appearing for the first time ever in a movie). Juliet is more than convincing in this genre-bending art film, that explores the repercussions of growing up under the sway of narcissism and psychological abuse. Juliet’s acting credits include “Drusilla” in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and co-starring as Loretta King in Tim Burton ‘s Ed Wood also starring opposite Whoopi Goldberg in Theodore Rex, currently you can catch Juliet on Hulu’s #1 hit show “Bosch” as Rita Tedesco. Juliet and Dev will be at the film festival answering questions and discussing growing up under narcissism and psychological abuse about the film.
