Festival of Illumination and Winter Winderland Southwick\\\’s Zoo, Mendon

The Festival of Illumination is a must-see experience for guests of all ages, New England’s largest and one-of-a-kind premier lantern showcase!

Guests will be immersed in the magical world of impressive and “larger than life” illumination exhibits, showcasing the incredible artistry of handcrafted Chinese Lanterns! This years’ theme “Once Upon a Time”, an epic journey of forgotten stories, featuring Myths, Legends and Fairytales from around the globe.

Beginning November 12, 2022 two amazing events come together at Southwick’s Zoo, Winter Wonderland with the Festival of Illumination, creating an extraordinary and memorable holiday experience for guests of all ages.

Be in immersed in the breathtaking world of over a million dazzling holiday lights and enchanting festival lanterns, showcasing fairytales, legends and myths through the incredible handcrafted displays. Take a train ride through the Magical Holiday Forest where you may spot a fallow deer or the Grinch himself! Enjoy live entertainment including acrobat shows at the Cirque de Lumination tent. Warm up by the firepits and enjoy s’mores, hot toddies and more from our special menu at the Kringle Cafe. Beginning Friday, November 25th meet and greet with Santa Claus through to December 24th.
