World Children's Festival 2021 National Mall, Washington D.C.

You will be pleased to know that after 18 long months of lockdowns and COVID traumas, children will come together at the National Mall across from the U.S. Capitol this July 30th to August 1st for their 6th World Children’s Festival (WCF) to celebrate the future.

Produced quadrennially as the “Olympics” of schoolchildren’s imagination, the WCF cultivates students’ creativity for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and grows mutual empathy for “a more perfect union.” The WCF opens with “Health & Environment Day” for art therapy sessions to reduce tensions, and by sharing their climate change anxieties, they could scaffold empathy. Invoking American ingenuity on the following “Creativity & Imagination Day” instills a creative spirit and entrepreneurial grit in the students. On the final “Peace & Leadership Day,” participants augment their global competencies and emotional intelligence so they could help turn this wounded world into a wondrous one.

The WCF is free and open to the public and produced by the International Child Art Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Join us at the National Mall for a wonderful time!
