2023 marks the festival’s 30th anniversary. The festival started in 1993 with a handful of woodworkers dedicated to crafting with Texas mesquite. The event has grown to become an annual event drawing repeat and new customers who come to see the world’s finest mesquite wood artisans who showcase their handcrafted products. Items range from large furniture items such as bed, dressers and chairs, to unique craft and gift items such as beautifully turned lamps, delicate scroll work, handsome pen and pencil sets, charcuteries, unique Christmas tree ornaments and sculpted vases.

The festival continues to feature the beauty and diversity of Texas’ “exotic” wood, but expanded to include a wide variety of high quality art in other media including other woods, leather, fabric, metal, glass, gourds, fiber, canvas and paper.
