Given the current political landscape, including opposition from the new Trump administration, it is critical to maintain momentum for offshore wind development. While this administration may push back on offshore wind initiatives, it should not deter the industry. Offshore wind remains a critical solution for achieving national and state-level climate goals. It is worth noting that the groundwork for offshore wind development was largely laid during the first Trump administration (2017-2020), highlighting bipartisan support for the industry.

To continue advancing the conversation and support this vital industry, Global Transmission Report is hosting its 3rd Annual Offshore Wind Transmission West conference on March 25-26, 2025, at the South San Francisco Conference Center.
