Drug & Violence Prevention Training Program Harrah\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’s Resort Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City, Atlantic City

L.E.A.D. is the most rapidly growing school-based K-12 Drug & Violence Program in the United States and is the most effective evidence based, proven and tested curriculum delivered by law enforcement officers and educators in the United States. L.E.A.D. was the brainchild of Law Enforcement and Educational leaders who felt that the time had come to develop a comprehensive evidence-based means for law enforcement agencies to ensure they provide proven effective methods to serve their respective communities. “Many different organizations have attempted to offer specific programs to serve various functions, but L.E.A.D. is designed to bring the entire agency together to offer many different types of programs. We want to be the charitable organization that enables various law enforcement agencies to achieve the best possible services for the people they serve,” said Nicholas R. DeMauro, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer.

L.E.A.D. has developed a prestigious Board of Directors consisting of Leaders in Law Enforcement, Education, Government and Communities. The main objective is to build the foundation to serve the organization’s mission. The Board of Directors relies on various Advisory Board Working Groups who make recommendations and review initiatives that L.E.A.D. will support and promote to participating communities. The Advisory Boards consist of representatives from law enforcement, government, corporate, academic, instructor and drug and violence prevention policy boards.

L.E.A.D. is expanding rapidly in the United States, thanks, in part, to a unique alliance with the National Association of School Resource Officers. We are proud to offer the Mendez Family of Proven Effective K-12 Evidence-based Curricula to communities throughout the United States serving over 3,200 Officers in 41 states.
