The Rolling Stones: rock legends announce first UK and Ireland tour in five years
Part of the British Invasion of the 1960s, The Rolling Stones rewrote music history with their blues-driven brand of rock ‘n’ roll, infusing influences from country, folk, pop and world music into their work. Propelled by timeless tracks such as “Gimme Shelter”, “Paint It Black” and of course, “Satisfaction”, the Stones have recorded 10 UK number one studio and live albums, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989, and have sold over 250 million records worldwide (making them one of the best-selling artists in music history).
Known for their epic live stadium tours, the Stones held a record four of the top five highest-grossing concert tours of all time after their worldwide 2005-2007 jaunt A Bigger Bang; which made a mammoth $558 million. A lack of suitable venues meant that the band were unable to visit the UK on their last European tour, but they will make amends in 2018 after announcing details of their much-anticipated No Filter tour.
Much to the delight of fans across UK and Ireland, The Rolling Stones – who last played in on native soil in 2013 – will call at Dublin; London; Manchester; Edinburgh; Cardiff; Coventry and Southampton in May and June this year, meaning fans up and down country (and across the Irish Sea) will be able to see a Rolling Stones concert live in 2018. So what are you waiting for? Buy Rolling Stones tickets at StubHub and see one of the greatest bands of all time live in action.
